Privacy Policy
We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data BlankComic collects (very little), where it goes (nowhere), and your rights.
Short version: BlankComic is a fully client-side application. Your projects are stored only in your browser's localStorage. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data or project content on any server.
1. Information We Collect
Project data: Your comic projects, panel layouts, text, and settings are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device. We have no access to it.
Usage analytics: BlankComic does not currently use any analytics, tracking scripts, or telemetry. We do not collect page-view data, click events, or session information.
Contact requests: If you choose to send feedback via the "Send Feedback" link (which opens your email client), your email provider handles that communication. We receive only what you choose to send.
2. How Your Data Is Stored
All project data is stored using the Web Storage API (localStorage) in your browser. This means:
- Data is local to your device and browser profile
- It is not synced to any cloud service
- Clearing your browser's site data will permanently delete your projects
- We strongly recommend exporting your work regularly using the built-in export feature
3. Third-Party Services
BlankComic loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). This request may expose your IP address to Google as part of the CDN request. Google's privacy policy governs this interaction.
No other third-party services, SDKs, advertising networks, or social media plugins are loaded.
4. Cookies
BlankComic does not use cookies. Preferences such as theme (light/dark) are stored in localStorage, not in cookies.
5. Children's Privacy
BlankComic does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since we collect no personal information at all, this service may be used safely by anyone.
6. Your Rights
Because we store no personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to access, rectify, export, or delete on your behalf. Your data exists only in your browser, and you have full control over it:
- Export your project at any time via the Export button
- Delete your project data by clearing localStorage in your browser settings
- The "New Project" option in the menu also clears your saved project
7. Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
