How to make a comic page online
BlankComic is a free comic editor that runs in your web browser. Lay out comic panels, add speech bubbles, text, drawings and pictures, then download your comic as PNG, JPG, PDF or SVG — with no account, no install and no watermark.
- Choose a page and a layout. Open Layout and pick a page size — US Comic, A4, Manga, Square or Webtoon — and one of 30 panel layouts.
- Shape your panels. Click a panel to select it. Drag its edges to resize it, use Split across (H) or Split down (V) to cut it in two, and change its fill, shape or border.
- Add speech bubbles and text. Open Bubbles or Text and type straight away. Click a bubble again later to change its words, and drag it to move it.
- Draw or add pictures. Sketch with the pen, marker or brush, or add a picture with Picture — it fills the panel you choose.
- Add more pages. Use Pages on the right to add, duplicate and reorder pages for a full comic book, manga or webtoon.
- Download your comic. Click Download for PNG, JPG, PDF or SVG at up to 300 DPI, or save a project file to keep editing later.

Is the BlankComic editor free?
Yes. The editor is completely free: no subscription, no account and no watermark on anything you export.
Do I need to sign up or install anything?
No. BlankComic runs in your web browser on Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Linux, Android and iOS. Open the page and start drawing panels.
How do I add a speech bubble?
Open Bubbles (shortcut B) and pick speech, thought, shout, whisper, narration or caption. Type straight away, click the bubble again later to change its words, drag it into place and choose a tail direction.
Is my comic saved, and is it uploaded anywhere?
Your work is saved automatically in this browser on this device and is never uploaded to a server. Use File → Save project file to keep a copy you can open on any device.
Which export formats and print quality are available?
Download PNG, JPG, a multi-page PDF, SVG or a .blank project file. PNG and JPG can be exported at 72, 150 or 300 DPI; 300 DPI is print quality.
Can I make a multi-page comic, manga or webtoon?
Yes. Add, duplicate and reorder pages, and choose US Comic, A4, Manga, Square, Webtoon or a custom page size. Every page can use a different panel layout.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. On phones the editor switches to a touch layout with a bottom tool bar, and it keeps that layout when you turn the phone sideways.
